In a very tough top quad, NM Joshua Colas was in the lead after two rounds. FM Leif Pressman had the final say however, defeating Colas in the last round and leapfrogging him to win the section with 2.5/3. In the second section, a six player swiss, there was a massive four way tie for first. Dietrich Moor, Leo Bykhovsky, Guy Colas and Sean McGuinness shared the victory.
