Players must register in advance. No on-site registration.
Registration closes at 8:00pm on 1/23.
No refund for cancellations on the day of the tournament.
Rounds 10:00am then ASAP. All players play three games.
Estimated round times: 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm. Some quads may finish significantly sooner.
Format: 4-person round-robin (3 games)
Players are grouped by published regular rating.
One six player group if necessary.
All players are expected to complete all of their games.


    CCFC In-Person Tournaments
    Rules & Safety Precaution

  • Only come if you are not sick and have no symptoms.
  • All tournaments will be advance registration only to facilitate contactless payments.
  • The building will open at 9:30am, however players are encouraged to come closer to the start time to reduce congestion. Parents are encouraged to dropoff/ Pickup their children. Only one parent per player allowed.
  • Masks must be worn at all times in the building. All are encouraged to bring their own or they can purchase one from CCFC for $1. Neck gaiters and masks with vents not permitted.
  • All individuals entering the building will have their temperature taken upon arrival. Anyone with an above average temperature will not be permitted to enter the building.
  • Total capacity is limited to 20 players. Reduced capacity in lounges, kitchen, library and classrooms.
  • No handshakes.
  • Hand Sanitizing/Washing hands is required between games.
  • Only one board will be set up per table.
  • A plexiglass partition will be set up over each board for added protection.
  • No eating or drinking at the board. Players must move at least six feet away or to another room.
  • Disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer available at each board. Disinfecting spray is also available in the playing room and bathrooms.
  • No spectating of games. We request that everyone maintains 6ft of separation as much as possible.
  • As always, we work hard to maintain the cleanliness of the club at all times. We will continue with an enhanced cleaning routine between events.


By registering for this event, you give permission for images of your child, captured during participation in Chess Club of Fairfield County LLC programs and events through video, photo and digital camera, to be used solely for the purposes of Chess Club of Fairfield County LLC promotional material and publications, and waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto.
